PT Tanjung Power Indonesia is a consortium company owned by PT Adaro Power (65%) and PT EWP Indonesia (35%), a subsidiary of Korea East-West Power Co Ltd., to build and operate a 2x100 MW coal-fired power plant in the Tabalong regency, South Kalimantan, and to sell electricity to PLN under a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a period of 25 years from the COD. 2020 was the first year that PT Tanjung Power Indonesia fully operated for the whole year.
In accordance with Deed of Establishment of Limited Liability Company PT Tanjung Power Indonesia No. 2 dated August 12, 2013, the Company has the intent and purpose to run a business in the sector of Electrical Energy Service Providers. Through a Steam Power Plant (PLTU) with a capacity of 2x100MW, PT Tanjung Power Indonesia operates a coal power plant in Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan to provide supply of electricity to PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) in the South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan areas.
Meanwhile, the TPI Steam Power Plant (PLTU) with a capacity of 2x100 MW is located at Jalan Jend. Ahmad Yani RT01 RW01 Mabu’un Village, Murung Pundak District, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan, with a land area of approximately 42 hectares (ha).
